Barbie Vs Oppenheimer: 'Barbenheimer' Memes Are The Bomb (Pun Intended)

Image
Even if you are only remotely interested in the entertainment industry or pop culture, you cannot have missed the buzz around the clash of two of Hollywood's biggest films, Greta Gerwig's Barbie and Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer.   The two films, which are as different as chalk and cheese in subject matter and treatment, have cinema lovers across the world divided. As fandoms and movie aficionados passionately discuss and debate which film to watch first or even watch at all, there appears to be only one winner – the memers of the world. Yes, the greatest cinematic clash in recent memory has proved to be just the right fodder for meme makers, who are clearly having a blast creating content about the Barbie vs  Oppenheimer  clash.  While Oppenheimer is a biographical thriller based on Robert Oppenheimer, the mind behind the world's first atomic bomb, Barbie is a fantasy comedy based on the iconic fashion dolls by Mattel. Oppenheimer boasts of a star-studded ca...

The Internet Is Shaming Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan For This Photoshoot

Ahead of a film's release, it is not uncommon for the project's lead actors to engage in a photoshoot or two, especially if it is a romantic drama. A case in point is Bawaal, starring J anhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan in lead roles. The first few pics in the carousel feature Janhvi Kapoor seated on Varun Dhawan's lap and the last two have them hugging each other. Janhvi opted for a little black dress, while Varun Dhawan is dressed in a white vest and a black leather jacket. Sharing the black and white images, Janhvi Kapoor dropped just a black heart in the caption. A cursory glance at the comments section, however, will reveal that fans are not really happy with the new pictures. While Maheep Kapoor – Janhvi Kapoor's aunt – dropped a slew of heart-eye emojis and wrote, “Love,” many fans asked if there was a need for such a photoshoot.  One f...

Karan-Arjun To Jawaan Tweets, Shah Rukh And Salman Khan's Bond Pyaar Ka Bandhan Hai

Image
Bollywood is in the business of telling and selling stories. For as long as the Hindi film industry has existed, the stories behind the silver screen have captured the imagination of the public as much as the ones on celluloid. Some would argue that these tales of real men and women who built the industry have aged better than most cinematic creations. In this context, any documentation of Bollywood and its role in Indian pop culture would be incomplete without the mention of superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, two parts of the Khan holy trinity – Aamir Khan being the third – ruling the industry for over three decades now. While their individual and combined contributions to the Hindi film industry are tangible through their box office collections, career longevity and palpable superstardom, the friendship between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, over the years, has all the trappings of a Bollywood blockbuster. Let us take a deep dive into their epic friendship over the deca...
